Life's Purpose As An Entrepreneur

Are you familiar with the Japanese concept of Ikigai?

Why is this important for Entrepreneurs, and how is this related to Growth Masters🎓? Simple, entrepreneurship can feel like a battle, and adopting a framework like this can help many brave the storm. Many entrepreneurs start businesses because of their passion towards a mission. However, that passion can quickly fade in the pursuit of “success”.

Too often we lose sight of our reason for being in the pursuit of our subjective goals. Investors and stakeholders can make it difficult to stay true to values and beliefs.

This week’s growth tip is just a simple request. Take some time, 10 minutes, to discover your Ikigai. Answer these questions:

1. What brings you delight and fullness, but without wealth?

2. What gives you a feeling of excitement and complacency?

3. What gives you feelings of uncertainty?

4. What makes you feel comfortable?

5. What makes you feel empty?

6. What brings you satisfaction?

7. What brings you feelings of uselessness?

This quick exercise can help you understand how to reengage the passion for your entrepreneurial journey.
